Our Christmas Trees

We have Fraser Fir, Canaan Fir, Blue Spruce and Douglas Fir ranging in various heights. Our tallest trees are around 10ft tall, you may even find a few that are 11ft tall!  Whether you buy a 3ft Blue Spruce, a 6ft Fraser Fir, or a 10ft Douglas Fir, all trees are $80.

Fraser Fir

Needles on a Fraser Firs are flattened. They range from a half inch to one inch long, have a broad circular base, and are usually dark green on the upper surface and lighter on the lower surface. On lower branches, they are two-ranked (occurring in two opposite rows). On upper twigs, they tend to curl upward forming a more of a “U-shaped” appearance.

Canaan Fir

This beautiful fir tree with long lasting needles got its name because many of the original trees were identified from a limited area in West Virginia, generally referred to as The Canaan Valley. This species is a relative newcomer to the Christmas tree market. It has many similarities to both Fraser and Balsam Firs in growth and appearance.

Blue Spruce

Discovered growing in enchanted meadows and along streams high up in the Rocky Mountains, the Blue Spruce is a very attractive  Christmas tree. It is also the official state tree of both Colorado and Utah. It has a pyramidal shape and cone-shaped crown. While they grow relatively slow, they are long-lived and can reach up to 800 years old.

Douglas Fir

Branches on a Douglas Fir spread out and droop with buds that are sharply pointed. Its bark is very thick, fluted, ridged, rough and dark brown. The needles are dark green or blue green, range from one to one and a half inches long, are soft to the touch and radiate out in all directions from the branch. They also have a sweet fragrance when crushed.

A LOVe Story

The Little Flower Christmas Shop

What’s in name? The answer is a romantic and enduring love story.

Love is behind the name of our Christmas Shop, Little Flower. A romantic at heart, Justine’s father, Rudy, would draw this exact flower on every card and letter that he gave to his wife, Chris, calling her his “little flower”. The Little Flower Christmas Shop is named in memory of her parents and in honor of the family values they shared.

The Little Flower Christmas Shop is located in our barn, where you’ll find unique & hand-crafted ornaments, Christmas home decor and other holiday specialties carefully selected by Chad and Justine.

You’ll also find our antique 19th century Christmas Sleigh, piled high with presents.  Our sleigh is perfect for snapping a Christmas photo with your family, friends or your own true love.

While you are here, help yourself to some cider or free hot chocolate, too! We hope you truly enjoy our farm!

About The Smith Family

Lauric Dividers GREEN copy

Every Thanksgiving weekend Chad and Justine, owners of Lauric Farms, would take their kids, Laura and Eric, to pick out their own Christmas tree. It was a tradition everyone looked forward to each year.

Thinking ahead to retirement, Chad and Justine thought it would be great to create a place for people to carry on this same Christmas tradition.

After many years of searching, in 2013 Chad and Justine’s plan of owning a Christmas tree farm came to life. They planted the first trees back in 2015 and friends and family near and far came out to help. Today, Chad and Justine run the farm with the help of Laura, Eric, and their son-in-law, Jon.  And here we are 8 years later getting ready for Opening Day!

Come on out to find YOUR perfect Christmas tree, experience Mother Nature at her best, and snap family photos for your Christmas card. Lauric Farms would love to be a part of your family Christmas traditions!

We hope you visit each year to create lasting Christmas memories during this magical holiday season, just as they have with their kids over the years.

We can’t wait to see you this Christmas!
